About This Event
"Agia Napa: The Crown of the Mediterranean" - The history of medieval Cyprus comes to life at the 21st Agia Napa Medieval Festival.
14-18 October 2026 | International performances, a medieval parade, concerts, exhibitions and interactive activities with free admission.
The queens of medieval Cyprus, the legends of the island and the cultures that shaped its historical identity are at the heart of the 21st Agia Napa Medieval Festival, organised by the Municipality of Agia Napa from 14 to 18 October 2026, at the square of the "Giorgos Seferis" Cultural Centre and the surrounding area of the Medieval Monastery.
With the theme "Agia Napa: The Crown of the Mediterranean", the event connects historical memory with contemporary artistic expression, offering five evenings of entertainment, music and creative participation.
International artistic groups from Italy, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Belarus transform the streets and square into an open-air stage.
On Wednesday, 14 October, Ria Ellinidou takes to the stage with a programme of her own hits and beloved popular songs.
On Thursday, 15 October, the music, dance and theatre performance "The Heritage of Tradition in Kokkinochoria", by the dance ensemble and theatre department of the "Kimon" Gymnastic Association of Xylotymbou, highlights the region's intangible cultural heritage through dances, songs, dialect poetry and narratives of folk memory.
On Friday, 16 October, Petros and Michalis Kouloumis join Maria Anamaterou in the musical performance "Cyprus - Cyclades: A Sea of Songs", connecting the musical traditions of the two places.
The main event is the Medieval Parade on Saturday, 17 October, at 19:00, which will travel along Archbishop Makarios III Avenue, from the roundabout at the harbour to the Medieval Monastery. Afterwards, Giota Nega presents the concert "Tributes", featuring Paris Paraschou and Lefteris Pitsillidis, accompanied by the "ORPHEAS" Music Ensemble of the "Panikos Chatzichambis" Foundation.
Admission is free.
