About This Event
The 1st Lapitos Lemon and Folk Crafts Festival, under the slogan ‘The Scent of Lemons – The Roots of Culture’.
What makes this event unique is that it is organised by the Municipality of Lapitos and takes place in the village of Episkopio, in the Nicosia region. The festival aims to preserve the traditions, culture and gastronomic heritage of Lapitos, which has historically been renowned for its lemon groves.
What visitors can expect:
Tasting and sale of local produce, sweets, drinks and baked goods made with the famous lemons.
Demonstrations of unique Lapitos pottery (traditional pottery-making) and the famous hand-embroidered relief embroidery.
Performances by traditional Cypriot music groups, folk dances and commemorative exhibitions marking the struggle against occupation.
