About This Event
On Sunday, 11 October 2026, the village of Agios Georgios Siliku will host the traditional Grape and Cypriot Delicacies Festival, entitled ‘One Region… One Festival’. The events will begin at 11.00.
Guests will be able to take part in grape-stomping in vats and will be treated to a complimentary serving of palouzes, a hot Cypriot dessert.
There will be clay modelling lessons with Maria Mikhail and workshops on creating small mosaic pictures from stones.
At 14:00, the well-known Cypriot TV presenter and chef Chrysou Lefu will prepare and serve everyone traditional milk-based mahalepi.
A large dance troupe of 40 people from the village of Polemi will perform at the festival. Musical walks through the village’s narrow streets, accompanied by a violin and dancers, are also planned.
A live radio broadcast on Alpha Radio is expected, along with traditional Cypriot dishes and other surprises.
