About This Event
The Pasteli Festival in the village of Anogira will take place on 25 October 2026. The event will be held in the main square of the village of Anogira. It is a traditional festival celebrating the carob harvest and the making of pasteli — a traditional Cypriot sweet made from carob syrup.
Festival-goers will be able to witness first-hand the complex and labour-intensive manual process of extracting and processing carob syrup until it takes on a golden colour.
Guests will be invited to sample sherpeti and terzelutkia.
The festival will feature performances by well-known Greek artists, as well as traditional Cypriot dances and musical performances.
