About This Event
Vive la France — a charity concert of French classical music for flute and piano, to be held on 23 October 2026 at 7.00 pm at the Cyprus Wine Museum in the village of Erimi, in the Limassol region.
The event combines music and the visual arts in a ‘living gallery’ format. The evening’s programme includes:
Each musical piece will be accompanied by a projection of specially selected paintings. This will allow the audience to see the connection between melody, harmony, light and movement.
The programme will feature elegant works from the Baroque era, the late Romantic period and the early 20th century by composers such as Claude Debussy, Camille Saint-Saëns, Gabriel Fauré, Maren Mare and Jean-Marie Leclerc.
The musicians, Florian Rabe (flute) and Birgitte Birchell (piano), are active participants in Cyprus’s chamber music scene.
The concert is organised in collaboration with the international women’s association Ciwot. All proceeds earned by the musicians will be donated to the Room of Hope charity.
