Poetry MOVES International Festival / International Festival of Poetry and Co-Movement

The International Festival of Poetry and Co-Movement «Poetry MOVES International Festival / International Festival of Poetry and Co-Movement» includes exhibitions, music, video and performances.

For the 4th consecutive year, Poetry MOVES International Festival returns, now established as an international annual institution.

Poetry MOVES is not a poetry festival in the traditional sense. It is an innovative, multidisciplinary festival that places poetry at the core of all arts and serves as a platform for dialogue between poetry, music, contemporary dance, song, photography and other forms of expression.

Each year, a new theme becomes the starting point for artistic creation. The 4th edition, in 2026, focuses on TIME. Time is approached as a lived experience, where past, present and future coexist, with memory, decay, loss, rebirth and everyday moments as its focal points.

For this year's theme, poems by poets from different eras were selected, approaching time from a variety of perspectives. Through commissions and open calls, the festival's artists create using their own mediums, inspired by the selected poems or proposing poetry related to time themselves, offering audiences original aesthetic experiences.

The 4th edition takes place on a smaller and more focused scale, with its own resources and without state funding, supported by the Leventis Foundation, friends of the arts and the artists themselves. Despite the constraints, the festival remains multidisciplinary and faithful to its core: connecting poetry with live artistic creation. Maintaining its non-profit character and free admission, the festival continues thanks to the creators and audiences who support it.

Poetry MOVES 2026 opens on 13 October at ARTos House in Nicosia, with the evening concluding with the opening of the PhOETRY IV photography exhibition · (13 - 17 OCT).
