Machalárt 26: Neighbourhood Arts Festival

Machalárt 26 is a free neighbourhood arts festival in Larnaca, Cyprus, running from 8 October to 8 November 2026 across four distinct communities. Each stop brings a unique cultural programme — from street performances to community art — transforming the streets and squares of Larnaca into living spaces of creativity and connection.

The festival's motto says it all: the street becomes a neighbourhood, the people become a community, and the city becomes a shared space. Machalárt 26 takes place within the framework of Larnaca as European Capital of Culture 2030, supported by local municipalities, the Ministry of Culture, the Press and Information Office, and co-funded by the European Union.
