Three voices and twelve musicians in a grand celebration of popular Greek song.
Culture Movement presents Dimitris Fanis's performance "Kelaidismata". A distinctive musical proposal that places the bouzouki and popular Greek song at the forefront.
"Kelaidismata" is an idea by Dimitris Fanis, born out of his love for popular Greek song. It reflects his desire to showcase the bouzouki's multifaceted role as the principal performance instrument expressing popular Greek song over the past 100 years.
Joining Dimitris Fanis in performing the songs are two talented young-generation vocalists: Marina Verzanli and Angeliki Chatzivasiliou.
The arrangements are by Neoklis Neofytidis, who uniquely highlights the bouzouki's distinctive colour, character, power and potential. Twelve outstanding musicians, with six bouzoukis at the front and six other instruments, form a polished musical ensemble offering an enjoyable melodic experience.
