ArtCargo Performing Arts Festival: Free Outdoor Shows in Nicosia

The ArtCargo Performing Arts Festival is a free, outdoor performing arts event in Nicosia, Cyprus, running from 16 to 25 October 2026, filling the city's streets, squares and public spaces with world-class contemporary circus, dance, theatre and media art. Organised by Miss Air Production, the 2026 edition marks the festival's first appearance in Nicosia, presenting performers from nine countries across the capital's historic Old Town and beyond. All performances are language-free, open to all ages, and completely free to attend.

The 10-day programme features productions spanning new circus, physical theatre, site-specific performance, dance, media art and street comedy. Highlights include Parametric Deep — a large-scale dance and water-screen media installation in collaboration with choreographer Panos Malactos, presented over six evenings — and the Grand Finale on 24 October: Basinga's Soka Tira Osoa, a breathtaking high-wire act performed to live music. 🎪 A dedicated Youth Programme by Kanon Ito introduces slackline and trickline acrobatics, making the festival a true celebration for all generations.
