About This Event
Cheering from the sidelines, colourful team shirts and friendly rivalry: Open Sports brings together corporate teams for a day that also welcomes families, friends and visitors. Around the competitions, a festival programme gives spectators plenty to enjoy between matches.
Now in its sixth edition, the event has grown from a company sports day into a gathering of teams from many different industries. Colleagues swap their usual working roles for places on the pitch, while supporters follow the action and celebrate the results together. It is an opportunity to experience the excitement of a tournament in a relaxed, sociable setting.
The main sports day includes football, volleyball, 3×3 basketball, tug of war and other team challenges. Rugby joins the programme this year in a format designed to welcome participants without previous experience. Several competitions take place across the sports grounds, allowing visitors to follow different games throughout the day.
Away from the matches, the announced programme includes a dedicated children’s zone with interactive games, inflatables and entertainment. DJs and dance performances add to the atmosphere, while food trucks and refreshment stands offer places to take a break. An awards ceremony rounds off the sporting programme.
This is a good choice for families who enjoy lively outdoor events, friends coming to support a team and anyone who likes watching amateur sport with an enthusiastic crowd.
Spectator admission does not include entry into the competitions. Playing requires advance registration through a participating company, with participation packages arranged separately. Food and drinks are purchased separately. The main festival takes place on the school’s sports grounds in Palodia, outside central Limassol.
