About This Event
The Cyprus Mushroom Festival is a major two-day event taking place from 21 to 22 November 2026 in the picturesque mountain village of Spilia. The festival is recognised as one of the most prestigious and largest of its kind on the island, attracting mushroom pickers, chefs and nature lovers from all over Cyprus.
Programme and key activities:
The island’s leading experts will share their secrets on growing mushrooms and the rules for safe foraging in the wild. Visitors will learn how to identify edible species with certainty and select the highest-quality specimens.
A large culinary area will be set up in the square, where visitors can sample dozens of original mushroom-based dishes.
On the menu:
Rich mushroom soups.
Crispy grilled mushrooms.
Unconventional street food: mushroom gyros and Italian mushroom pasta.
The festival’s main stage will be the heart of the festive atmosphere: folk groups will perform traditional Cypriot songs and folk dances here. A separate entertainment programme with fun games and interactive activities has been prepared for our youngest guests.
