About This Event
The Civil Resistance Forum 2026 – Third Edition is a free one-day public forum taking place in Nicosia, Cyprus on 23 October 2026, at the University of Cyprus (Old Campus). Jointly organised by the Lithuanian Community in Cyprus, the Community of Ukrainian-Cypriot Friendship and the Embassy of Lithuania in Greece, the forum brings together voices from Cyprus, Lithuania, Ukraine and beyond. 🌍
This year's theme, The Long Fight, explores how resistance, solidarity and truth can be sustained over time — not only in moments of crisis, but through the longer challenges faced by societies, communities and individuals. Through panel discussions, personal stories and expert perspectives, the forum examines what actually keeps resistance going: public trust, civic courage, and the will to continue when there is no clear end in sight.
It is also a space to meet people, exchange ideas and take part in meaningful conversations with those who care about freedom, democratic values and stronger communities.
