About This Event
What does wealth mean today? And ultimately, who has the right to enjoy the city in which they live?
This play takes Aristophanes’ timeless play Plutus (Wealth) and transports it to present-day Limassol. A city evolving at a dizzying pace, expanding and undergoing construction, yet simultaneously leaving behind people, neighborhoods, and memories.
Through personal recollections, lived experiences and stories, the cast explores their relationship with a city that is transforming before their very eyes. Blending humor and biting satire with moments of genuine emotion, the play speaks to the city we once loved and are now seeking to rediscover.
The performance on Monday, November 9th, will feature Russian subtitles.)
