Traditional Cypriot Wedding for a Good Cause

We are going to a traditional Cypriot wedding in Choirokoitia for a good cause. Decorating the couple, live music, dances and treats with free admission.

The Choirokoitia Square is getting ready to host a wedding with all its traditions! On Tuesday 27 October 2026, at 18:30, the community invites us to an evening dedicated to Cypriot wedding customs, with music, dance and a charitable character.

The POKO Dance School of the Kornos Cultural Association will present the traditional wedding custom, and the decoration of the couple will also take place. All proceeds collected from the decoration will go to the "Mikroi Iroes" Foundation.

The evening will be accompanied by live traditional Cypriot music by Yaraman, while Cypriot dances will be presented by the team of the Neolithikos Society of Young Choirokoitia.

The local flavours will not be missing from the celebration: visitors will be treated to zivania, koumandaria and palouze, while kleftiko will be sold at €12 per portion, by order at 96119291.

The event is organised by the Choirokoitia Community Council, together with the Neolithikos Society of Young Choirokoitia, the Hunting Club and the Parent and Guardian Associations of the Choirokoitia Primary School and Kindergarten. It takes place within the framework of the LEADER development action, for the preservation and promotion of Cypriot tradition.
