About This Event
She has just returned from her honeymoon and seemingly possesses everything needed for a happy life. For Hedda Gabler, however, security feels like imprisonment. Henrik Ibsen's work takes the stage at Theatre Ena in Nicosia from Wednesday, October 28, bringing to the stage a woman who tries to define her life within a world of expectations and limitations.
Her need for control tests her relationships, as jealousy, desire, and fear collide behind the image of social propriety. How much freedom fits into the life that others have planned for us? And what happens when what we have acquired is far from what we truly want?
Direction and lighting design by Andreas Christodoulidis, sets and costumes by Stavros Antonopoulos.
Cast: Irini Karagiorgi, Ektoras Kousiappas, Vasiliki Kypraiou, Evangelia Onoufrious, Nikolina Papanastasious, Stavros Chatzantrian, and Christoforos Christoforou.
