    About This Event

The Agioi Omologites Cultural Workshop and Animafest Cyprus invite you to a screening of children's animated films, featuring a selection from the FAN Tour screenings.

The FAN - Festivals Animation Network brings together major animation festivals from Southern Europe, with the aim of supporting emerging filmmakers, promoting Southern European animation internationally, and strengthening cultural exchange through the art of animation.

The programme is a small collection of short films for children, with heartwarming stories about friendship, imagination and inclusion. Techniques and styles change from film to film, as do the stories: journeys to distant places, play and songs that many of us grew up singing. The films come from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain.

We are proud of our collaboration with Animafest Cyprus and thank it for its contribution to promoting children's cinema and the art of animation.

The programme is held with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Culture of Cyprus - Department of Contemporary Culture.

An event for the whole family! Come along - admission is free.

    Programme:

    • Beijing (Beijing), 2:43 (Cyprus, 2025) - A little girl, tired of constant chatter and the quiet life she leads in Nicosia, dreams of travelling to Beijing. She imagines walking along the Great Wall, seeing red lanterns, temples and silk ribbons, and tasting rice, longing for adventure, wonder and a magical new beginning in Asia.
    • A Menina Com Os Olhos Ocupados (The Girl With the Occupied Eyes), 7:58 (Portugal, 2024) - Once upon a time, a little girl was always distracted, even when she was outside. With her eyes fixed on her phone, she paid no attention to the world around her or to those who wanted to play with her. What could be done to "free" her eyes?
    • Fox Tale, 5:55 (Portugal, 2023) - A hungry fox struggles for the last berry at the top of a tree.
    • There Was a Mouse, 3:29 (Cyprus, 2024) - Three little mice set off on unlikely adventures. The first steals cheese and opens its own pizzeria. The second builds aeroplanes from tin cans and throws water balloons at the cats. And all of them together, determined to spread joy in the world, paint the whole Earth with jam and whipped cream.
    • Los Patos, 6:51 (Spain, 2021) - On Mari Carmen's first day at work, everything goes wrong when a duck appears on the balcony, turning the most important day of her life upside down.
    • A Cada Dia que Passa (With Each Passing Day), 10:55 (Portugal / Slovenia, 2024) - Mrs Piedade is an elderly mouse who lives in a small village in the mountainous interior of Portugal. Her life consists mostly of loneliness, memories and a strict routine, following the steady rhythm of the clock and of the tea she drinks with her two sister friends, who live in the same village.
    • Ten Small Crabs, 2:50 (Greece, 2023) - A group of ten little crabs finds ten small sweets and sits happily on a rock to eat them. But what will happen when the octopuses try to steal them? This is the music video for the popular Greek song of the same name from 2005.
    • Lembra de Mim (Remember Me), 4:35 (Portugal, 2024) - Malu and Clara, two children who suddenly meet, create a genuine friendship full of creativity and energy, until the moment comes when it is time to go home.
