    About This Event

Theatre performance by Anemona Theatre at the Larnaca Municipal Theatre "G. Lykourgos" on 3 November 2026 at 8:30 PM. The beloved play by Michalis Reppas and Thanasis Papathanasiou, directed by Marinos Xenophontos.

Can a baby change everyone's life? There are stories that make us laugh, others that move us, and some that manage to do both. The beloved play by Michalis Reppas and Thanasis Papathanasiou "The Storks Bring the Babies" falls into that last category. It runs from 9 October at Anemona Theatre.

The story takes us to Thessaloniki during the German Occupation, one of the darkest periods of modern history. Amid fear, hunger and uncertainty, the longing for a baby becomes the trigger for a human story full of twists, comic situations and deep emotion.

Armed with love, solidarity and humour, the characters try to endure and keep hope alive. Laughter coexists with anxiety, and tenderness with the harshness of the time, in a performance that reminds us that even in the most difficult circumstances, the human need for life and love can light up the darkness.

The direction is by Marinos Xenophontos, and the cast includes Irini Konstantinou, Giannis Kokkinos, Christopher Greco, Elena Cheiletis, Gianna Lefkati, Angelos Chatzimichael and Nikolas Arkadiou.
