ON AIR at Perivolia Larnaca

Following its first successful performances in Limassol, the ON AIR performances by the En Drasi group continue their journey in public spaces in Paphos, Larnaca and Nicosia. In parallel, the film ON AIR - The Film will be screened at the Synaxi Festival, at Synergeio venue in Limassol.

ON AIR is a series of performances in public spaces, each shaped by the energy of the place, the presence of the audience and the bodies of the performers. Each action is unique and is composed live, in direct dialogue with the space, the sound and the intensity of "I appear or I don't appear".

A performance that explores presence as a medium of transmission. Like voices carried by radio waves, bodies vibrate in the space, emitting fragile, urgent, invisible signals. The body gains political dimension and presence; it becomes a means of claiming, intervening and active participation in the public domain.

The performance unfolds like a "live broadcast": immediate, raw, unstable. It raises questions: what does it mean to be "on air" in a world where everyone is constantly broadcasting? What does it mean to "take up space", to become visible or to remain unseen?

ON AIR is an open composition that responds to the moment. It moves along the thin line between action and presence, between "playing" and "being". The public space is not a stage but an interlocutor; it fills and transforms through movement, participation and ephemeral encounters. Every performance leaves traces: it becomes material, memory and choreographic basis for the next. Thus, ON AIR continuously evolves, building a body of experience that travels from place to place, from community to community.
