About This Event
Larnaka’s seafront, old streets and working craft quarter form a connected story on this walk with a licensed guide. The route begins among colonial-period buildings and continues along Foinikoudes, bringing together the city’s waterfront landmarks and everyday life beyond the promenade.
The walk passes the fort and mosque, follows Piale Pasha and reaches the Art Workshops Neighbourhood, where craftspeople work in traditional streets. Saint Lazarus Church and Zouchouri Square add further layers to the route. Museum stops may include the Pierides and Kyriazis museums; entry inside depends on the day’s schedule.
The walk finishes at the Municipal Market, leaving visitors free to browse the stalls or stop for coffee. Allow approximately 2½–3 hours on foot and wear comfortable shoes. Guidance is in English.
Upcoming sessions are on Wednesdays: 4, 11, 18 and 25 November; 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 December 2026. Meet at 09:45 for a 10:00 start outside the original Tourist Information Office on Vasileos Pavlou Square. The starting point remains there while the office itself is closed for renovation.
No booking is required; minimum attendance is five people. Guiding is free, while museum admission and drinks are extra. Organisers: Larnaka Municipality, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and Cyprus Tourist Guides Association. Enquiries: +357 24 654322.
