A Fairytale Cyprus

Three fairy tales, three different periods of Cyprus and a theatrical journey for young and old. Piccolo Theatre returns with the new production “A Fairytale Cyprus”, which premieres on Sunday 15 November at 11:00 at Pantheon Theatre in Nicosia.
Following the productions “A Fairytale Skirt” and “Let the Tale Begin”, the company continues to draw inspiration from Cypriot tradition. This time, “The Golden Breads”, “Akis’s Name” and “The Fairy” meet on stage in a performance full of laughter, emotion, magic and surprises.
With humour, original music and inventive stage solutions, the stories invite the audience to discover different faces of Cyprus through the world of its fairy tales. An opportunity for children to connect with local tradition and for older audiences to rediscover some of the joy of storytelling.
The script is written by Marios Stylianou, who appears on stage together with Vasiliki Andreou, Savvas Menoikos and Maria Loizidou. The visual design is by Vasiliki Andreou, the sets and costumes by Lakis Genethlis, and the original music by Stelios Gerasimou.
Lighting is by K. Siabtanis and the choreography by Marios Avraam from the ANTAMA Dance School. The set painting is by Martin Maeson, the set construction by Giorgos Christianopoulos, and the poster by Katerina Tseva.
After the premiere, the performance will be presented at Pantheon every Saturday at 15:30 and every Sunday at 11:00, while performances are planned in Paphos, Larnaca and Limassol.
