The Interior

Inside the home, a family goes on with its daily life. Outside, some people know a truth that she ignores and hesitate to reveal. Between these two worlds unfolds "The Interior" by Maurice Maeterlinck, presented by Teatro Angelico as part of the 39th Amateur Theatre Festival of THOK.
Directed and adapted by Angela Rizaki, the performance examines the moment before the unspoken is said. When does silence protect, and when does it become complicity? What responsibility does the one who knows bear? And how easily does one move from the position of observer to action?
The stage approach moves between "inside" and "outside", between knowledge and ignorance, connecting the questions of the play with an era in which we constantly watch the lives of others. Drawing on elements of Forum Theatre, it invites the audience to take an active part, to challenge choices and to explore the consequences of intervention or inaction.
