About This Event
A. G. Leventis Gallery invites its youngest visitors and their grown-ups to discover jazz through movement, play and live music. Autumn Melodies brings the Marios Toumbas Trio together with vocalist Ioanna Troullidou for a morning in which children can join in rather than simply listen.
Facilitators Christina Charalambidou and Rebecca Katsaris will weave interactive activities into the concert, inviting families to scat, dance and explore rhythm together. The repertoire ranges from Joseph Kosma’s Autumn Leaves to What a Wonderful World, associated with Louis Armstrong. Selected works from the gallery’s permanent collections will accompany the performances, connecting the music with visual art.
Both Greek and English will be used throughout the activities. The musicians are Marios Toumbas on piano, Irenaeus Koulouras on double bass and Ioannis Vafeas on drums, with Ioanna Troullidou singing.
Two age-specific performances take place on Sunday, 15 November 2026: 10:15–11:15 for infants and toddlers up to two years old, and 11:45–12:45 for children aged three to five. Admission costs €10 per person, including each child and each accompanying adult. A place is secured through advance payment.
The programme is organised by A. G. Leventis Gallery, 5 Anastasios G. Leventis Street, Nicosia. Reserve through [email protected] or +357 22 668838, Monday–Friday, 09:00–13:00 and 14:00–16:30. Official information: https://leventisgallery.org/event/family-jazz-concert-autumn-melodies/
