About This Event
Opening exhibition of paintings by Dimitris Petrolekis at Marginalia Gallery in Nicosia on 6 November 2026, exploring places, people and objects preserved through memory.
Places, people and objects that have been removed from the present, but continue to survive through the images of memory, are reconstructed by Dimitris Petrolekkas in the painting exhibition "Thamai".
The title of the exhibition comes from the ancient Greek adverb "thamai", which denoted something that happens frequently or repeatedly. From the same root comes the word "thamona", the person who returns frequently to a specific place.
Opening: Friday, November 6, 7 p.m. Duration: until November 28 (Tuesday–Friday 10 a.m.–1 p.m. and 5 p.m.–8 p.m., Saturday 10:30 a.m.–1 p.m.)
