The Music of Cyprus - Part 1: Dances

Musicians Petros and Michalis Kouloumis present their first joint discographic work «The Music of Cyprus – Part 1: Dances», consisting of 38 organic compositions. The first part of a trilogy, aiming to record, preserve and promote Cypriot music in its entirety.

This release marks a particularly significant moment for the two musicians, as it realizes a vision of their father, Ilias Kouloumis, who together with their grandfather, Pieri Pieretti, and other musicians from Kokkinochoria, were the guiding lights that led them.

This discographic endeavor is a tribute to the people who kept the music of our land alive, and a substantial effort to pass on this precious legacy to future generations.

At the same time, it represents an important initiative for the Famagusta district, as, according to the creators, it is the first complete discographic work of this kind by musicians from the district.
