With Your Verses Lefteri

The Municipality of Strovolos presents a music, speech and image performance «With Your Verses Lefteri» by the ensemble «Musical Fellow Travelers».

The performance is a special tribute to Lefteri Papadopoulos, one of the most important Greek lyricists. With over 1,200 songs to his credit, his work is a precious record of an entire era that continues to move and inspire.

Lefteri Papadopoulos' lyrics speak of life, love, joy, loneliness and pain. They became songs that accompanied groups, young people and lovers, were sung in every corner of Greece and, most importantly, passed from generation to generation and continue to be loved to this day.

The renowned lyricist wrote dozens of songs for cinema, many of which were highly successful and remain timeless. He also collaborated with almost all the great Greek composers of his time, and his songs were performed by leading singers and received many re-performances.
