Free historical walking tour through the narrow streets and monuments of Old Nicosia, connecting the past with the city's present life. The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours and covers major historical sites and neighbourhoods within the old city walls.
Free historical walking tour through the narrow streets and monuments of Old Nicosia. A tour that connects the past with the city's present life, giving participants the opportunity to get to know up close significant monuments, historical sites and neighbourhoods within the walls.
The tour will last approximately two and a half hours. The route includes major stops in the old city, starting from the Ledra Street checkpoint and continuing to Phaneromena Square and the nearby archaeological site. Participants will also pass through the Old Electricity area, Hermes Street and the Charalambides Engraving Museum, discovering different aspects of Nicosia's historical and cultural identity.
The walk will then lead to the Famagusta Gate and the Freedom Monument, while the programme also includes neighbourhoods around Tillyria Square and Omerie. The route will end at Eleftheria Square.
Participation is free, but registration is required by Wednesday, 4 November 2026. Interested participants can secure a place via email. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
