    About This Event

A contemporary adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood by the Cyprus Theatre Organization (ΘΟΚ), running weekly from 8 November to 27 December 2026 at the ΘΟΚ Building in Nicosia. Directed by Fotis Nikolaou with a modern take on the classic fairy tale for children and adults.

With a new adaptation of the beloved fairy tale that generations have grown up with, Stage 018 of the Cyprus Theatre Organization opens the season. Little Red Riding Hood comes, in a contemporary adaptation by Andri Theodotou and with the poetic directing vision of Fotis Nikolaou, to touch the sensitive strings of young and old audiences.

The small and big questions of life, plenty of humour and a brave dose of imagination promise a performance that will take us on a journey to a magical world, where anything can happen.

The journey of a child, Little Red Riding Hood, through the forest becomes a symbolic journey of coming of age, where the heroine is called to face anxieties, desires and dilemmas. The Wolf, in a contemporary portrayal, works as an external danger but also as an inner voice of uncertainty, while the forest transforms into a landscape of emotions, shapes and colours, where the heroine meets unexpected allies and fellow travellers.

The director's rich choreographic background, combined with the explosive energy of the company, creates a unique stage world between reality and imagination. A story-plunge into the forest of Little Red Riding Hood's dream, which speaks of the courage to move forward, to challenge your fears and to discover your own truth.

ΘΟΚ brings together a creative team that combines experience, sensitivity and a contemporary artistic outlook, creating a distinctive world for the audience. Ecati creates an atmospheric musical environment. Eleni Ioannou gives the set design its characteristic contemporary aesthetic, while Sofia Mavromichali adds her magical touch to the costumes, bringing the beloved characters to life. The design and construction of the masks has been undertaken by the acclaimed mask maker Martha Fokas.

ΘΟΚ informs the audience that the performance starts exactly at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, entry to the performance will not be possible. The ticket price is non-refundable.
