About This Event
An educational art workshop for children aged 6-12 exploring the peaks, castles and history of Pentadactylon mountain through artworks and stories, concluding with a creative painting session. Held on 28 November 2026 at CVAR - Severis Foundation in Nicosia; €10 per child.
What are the peaks of Pentadactylon and which castles stand on its slopes? What stories connect the mountain range with the kings and queens of Cyprus?
Through paintings, engravings and books from the Kostas and Rita Severis Collection, the young participants will get to know the landscape, the names of the peaks and the medieval castles of the mountain range. Guided by the museum educator, they will observe the works, listen to stories and legends, and explore how the natural landscape connects with the history and cultural heritage of Cyprus.
The meeting concludes with an art workshop, where each child will create their own painting of Pentadactylon, drawing inspiration from what they saw and discovered.
The design and implementation are by Kyriakos Theocharous. The activity is part of the CREATES Educational Programmes, held with the support of The Hellenic Initiative Canada and the Active Citizens Fund.
For children aged 6-12. Participation: €10 per child. Bookings and information: 22300991.
