Learn to make and play the traditional Cypriot reed pipe (pithkiavli) in a free hands-on workshop led by a master craftsman at Liopyetri Community Council on 8 November 2026.
Make your own pithkiavli, the traditional Cypriot reed pipe, and learn to play your first notes with the help of an instrument master.
The workshop is one of the hands-on craft and oenogastronomy workshops on the "Heartland of Legends" route of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, which keep alive the traditional arts of the Cypriot countryside, part of Cyprus's Intangible Cultural Heritage. An opportunity for locals and visitors to create with their hands and discover authentic flavours and customs.
