About This Event
Painting exhibition by Dimitris Petrolekis at Marginalia Gallery, Nicosia, running from 6 November to 28 November 2026. Opening reception Friday 6 November at 7 PM.
Places, people and objects that have moved away from the present, yet still survive through the images of memory, are what Dimitris Petrolekas attempts to reconstruct in the painting exhibition "Thamai".
The title of the exhibition comes from the ancient Greek adverb "thamai", which denoted something that happens often or repeatedly. The word "thamonas", a person who frequently returns to a particular place, derives from the same root.
Opening: Friday 6 November, 7 PM. Duration: until 28 November (Tuesday-Friday 10 AM-1 PM and 5 PM-8 PM, Saturday 10.30 AM-1 PM)
