Florian Zeller (born 1979) is a French novelist, playwright, and film director considered one of the most important voices in contemporary European theatre. His play The Father (Le Père) won the Molière Award and was adapted into the 2020 film starring Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman, which won two Academy Awards. He has written numerous acclaimed plays and directed the films The Father and The Son.
