About Mikhail Durnenkov
Mikhail Durnenkov is one of Russia's most prominent contemporary playwrights, known for his sharp, politically engaged dramas that have been produced at major theatres across Russia and Europe. His plays explore identity, memory, and the contradictions of contemporary life with a distinctive mix of dark humour and social acuity. The staging of his work at the Pattihio Theatre in Limassol reflects Cyprus's ambition to connect its theatrical scene with the best of international contemporary drama.
