This theatre performance in Nicosia, Cyprus, returns to Flea Theatre for three evenings before continuing its journey to Athens. “Prin erthei o Germanos” is a contemporary play that approaches Alzheimer’s disease with sensitivity, humanity and emotional depth.
Julia, a woman in her sixties, is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and realises her time of clarity is limited. She decides to create a list of everything she still wants to experience, choosing light and love before memory slowly fades. Written by award-winning playwright Marta Barceló and directed by Kostas Silvestros, the play is performed by Popi Avraam and Andreas Koutsoftas in a powerful, intimate staging.
