Splean are a Russian alternative rock band formed in St Petersburg in 1994, led by vocalist and songwriter Alexander Vasiliev. One of the most enduring and critically regarded acts in Russian rock, Splean emerged from the fertile St Petersburg music scene of the 1990s alongside Mumiy Troll, DDT, and other acts that defined post-Soviet alternative music.
