A Musical Journey through Europe in Dance
Manolis Neophytou & Mariola Charitidou in Nicosia and Limassol
As part of the Cultural Programme of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union CY2026.EU, distinguished pianists Manolis Neophytou and Mariola Charitidou join forces in an electrifying programme for two pianos, presenting a captivating musical journey through the national dances of Europe.
The programme features masterworks from the four-hands and two-piano repertoire:
Hungarian Dances | Johannes Brahms
Slavic Dances | Antonín Dvořák
Italian Polka | Sergei Rachmaninoff
Libertango | Astor Piazzolla
A programme filled with rhythm, virtuosity, and passion, where the folk melodies of Hungary and the Slavic tradition meet Russian brilliance and the sensuality of Argentine tango nuevo. The two soloists, both with a strong artistic presence in Cyprus and abroad, promise an evening of high artistry and vibrant energy.
