This progressive metal concert in Nicosia, Cyprus takes place on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Royal Hall, marking SOEN’s first-ever live appearance in Cyprus as part of their global tour for the new album “Reliance”.

Emerging from Sweden’s progressive metal scene, SOEN have built a reputation for emotionally powerful and technically precise performances. Since their debut “Cognitive” (2012), led by Martin Lopez and Joel Ekelöf, the band has evolved into one of the most compelling live acts in modern metal. With “Reliance” (2026), following the success of “Memorial” (2023), they continue their international ascent.
The Nicosia show will feature large-scale visuals, including a full LED backdrop designed to enhance the live experience. Supporting acts Speak in Whispers and O’Kazen will open the night.
A VIP balcony experience is also available at €140 per person (including general admission), with a minimum booking of two people. VIP tables host up to four guests and include balcony seating with stage view, dedicated table service, an exclusive gift bag with signed SOEN merchandise, a selected drinks package (up to 3 spirits or 6 beers or equivalent non-alcoholic options per guest), a complimentary fruit and cheese platter per table, and fast-track VIP entry.

Soen are a Swedish progressive metal band formed in Stockholm in 2010, comprising drummer Martin Lopez (formerly of Opeth), vocalist Joel Ekelöf, guitarist Cody Ford, bassist Stefan Stenberg, and keyboardist Lars Enok Åhlund. Drawing on the traditions of progressive rock and metal while incorporating jazz, ambient, and world music influences, Soen have built a devoted following for their sophisticated songwriting and exceptional musicianship. Albums including Cognitive, Lykaia, and Imperial have earned them widespread critical praise. Their appearance at the Royal Hall in Nicosia — a historic stone venue within the old city walls — provided a uniquely atmospheric setting for their atmospheric and sonically rich music.
Speak In Whispers are a Cypriot indie rock band who have built a dedicated following through their atmospheric, emotionally layered music and committed live performances. Their sound draws on post-rock, indie, and alternative influences to create music of genuine artistic ambition, setting them apart within Cyprus's local music scene. Performances at the Royal Hall in Nicosia — a prestigious alternative venue — and Savino Rock Bar in Larnaca demonstrate their reach across the island's rock community.
