Born in the dance halls of Harlem, swing dancing became popular thanks to musicians such as Benny Goodman, who combined New Orleans jazz roots with the innovation of African American musicians, breathing life into dances such as the Lindy Hop. Radio, movies, and the vibrant culture of the era quickly spread this lively music around the world.
Today, swing lives on in jazz clubs such as Sarah's Jazz & Blues Club. Enjoy the energy of this music and great company.
