In honor of International Women's Day 2026, an event will be held celebrating the strength, talent, and voices of migrant and refugee women in Cyprus.
The event will bring together people from different cultures to celebrate women's contributions through art, culture, and open dialogue.
The program includes:
- Dance and vocal performances
- Handicrafts
- National cuisine prepared by participants
- Discussions with experts on gender equality and gender-based violence, with a focus on the real experiences of migrant and refugee women in Cyprus
The event is the final conference of the Elevate Heright project, which aims to prevent and combat gender-based violence in migrant communities by raising awareness, improving access to support services, and empowering migrant women.
