The musical endeavours of Dieter Hennings Yeomans span from contemporary guitar repertoire to early music for lute, baroque guitar and theorbo, reflecting a remarkable breadth across the traditions of plucked-string instruments.
A frequent soloist with orchestras in North and South America and Europe, and a First-Prize winner in prestigious international competitions including the Aaron Brock International Guitar Competition in Toronto and the Portland International Guitar Competition, Hennings has established an international career through his performances, numerous recordings for renowned labels, and close collaboration with distinguished composers.
Dieter Hennings Yeomans will appear at The Shoe Factory, as part of the 20th EGTA Guitar Festival organised in collaboration with the Pharos Arts Foundation. His recital traces a rare and fascinating musical journey, from the music of Ralph Towner to the intimate Spanish sound-world of Vicente Asencio, from the unmistakable Argentinian voice of Astor Piazzolla to contemporary works by Cypriot composers Evis Sammoutis, George Christofi, Sotiris Kasparides and Zoe Paisanou, and back to echoes from Mexico, bringing together works by Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon and Manuel M. Ponce.
