The Cyprus-based Marios Toumbas Trio is the result of a collaboration between Berklee graduates and long-time friends: pianist Marios Toumbas, double bassist Irenaeos Koulouras, and drummer Ioannis Vafeas. Their repertoire draws from the Post-bop era alongside compositions by Clifford Brown, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, and Joey Calderazzo, as well as original music by Toumbas.
