Pierre and Norine Labbé are hosting their friends Auguste and Paulette Feintot. After a night of revelry the two wake with gaps in their memory and learn of a brutal murder at the Bad Girls bar in the notorious Rue Lursin district. Convinced they have killed the dancer at the bar, they desperately try to keep their guilty secret hidden. A rare illness - the collapsus anagrammaticus, a murdered Bulldog, a crafty housekeeper and a policeman’s corpse in the living room entangle everyone in a series of comic situations, creating utter chaos! The play, based on the farce by the French playwright Eugène Labiche "L’affaire de la rue de Lourcine", is an excellent situational comedy with rapid action, constant surprises and reversals, misunderstandings and improbable coincidences!
