About This Event
At the upcoming meeting, dedicated to fiction, we will discuss Yukio Mishima’s novel Confessions of a Mask.
The novel "Confessions of a Mask" by the famous Japanese writer Yukio Mishima (1925–1970), which brought the twenty-four-year-old author fame and worldwide recognition, is largely autobiographical. The central theme of this famous work is death, in which the protagonist sees the “true purpose of life.” Mishima meticulously explores his own psyche, delving into the very essence of his “self.”
