The Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative (CSTI), with the support of the Department of Environment, organises three parallel environmental activities at Pedieos Linear Park in Nicosia, Cyprus. The event aims to raise awareness among children and adults about plastic pollution, the circular economy, and environmental responsibility.
The first activity, "Clean – Count – Learn," is a participatory river cleanup with waste logging through citizen science. The second, "Trash to Art: Pedieos Reimagined," is a creative workshop transforming plastic waste collected from the river into art, as part of the Keep our Sand and Sea Plastic Free project. The third, "Little Guardians of Pedieos," is a children's workshop featuring games, painting, and simple experiments about water and bioindicators, designed for children aged 5–12 and their parents.
