Kamilostrata - A Road of History and Faith

We invite you to a meeting with Lyudmila Budanova, author of the book Kamilostrata.

“Kamilostrata” means “the camel road.” Long ago, caravans traveled this route, descending from the mountains to the sea, carrying copper — one of Cyprus’s greatest historical treasures.

Even today, you can still find ancient Venetian stone bridges across the island — silent witnesses of that time. This is where the story began: with a fascination for these bridges, a simple question — who built them? — and a journey into the life of Catherine Cornaro, Queen of Cyprus.
