Humble Earths: Beyond the Western Frame - Transcultural Modernisms

Initiated by In Situ, the international exhibition Humble Earths: Beyond the Western Frame — Transcultural Modernisms is presented at the Limassol Municipal Art Gallery, bringing works by contemporary artists from Cyprus, Bulgaria and the United Kingdom into dialogue with selected works from the Gallery's collection, including those by Christoforos Savva, Stass Paraskos and Glyn Hughes.

Offering an expanded understanding of modernism, the exhibition explores how historical, social, political and ecological conditions continue to shape contemporary artistic practice. It proposes a multifaceted vision of modernism, rooted in diverse places, histories and lived experiences.
