In honor of International Museum Day 2026, the Center for Visual Arts and Research (CVAR) invites you to a free educational program—the “Points of Contact” ceramics workshop.
The Center for Visual Arts and Research (CVAR), located near the Green Line, and its collections reflect the theme of International Museum Day 2026: “Museums Unite a Divided World.”
Children will go on a tour of the museum, where they will learn about the history of the island’s inhabitants, their daily lives, and shared experiences. At the end of the program, participants will take part in a creative ceramics workshop: working with clay, the children will create “bridges” connecting the Venetian walls of Nicosia.
The Costas & Rita Severis Foundation’s collections reveal the stories of people who lived in Cyprus, their shared experiences, and their coexistence. Through observing works of art and discussion, children will learn about different cultures, living together, and how art can serve as a bridge for communication and mutual understanding.
