Dyo Moutes: Summer Hiking Trail in Machairas Forest

Join Vounisious for the first hiking adventure of the summer season in Cyprus! The Dyo Moutes trail offers a specially designed 8km circular route through Machairas Forest, featuring stunning viewpoints and intermediate difficulty level perfect for experienced hikers.

The hike begins at 17:30 from Kionia Picnic Site and lasts approximately 4 hours. The route consists of 5% asphalt and 95% trail paths, suitable for hikers with intermediate experience. Our hiking club features a certified hiking leader to ensure your safety throughout the journey.

🥾 Essential equipment: head lamp, hat, long trousers, hiking boots, weather-appropriate clothing, hiking sticks, energy bars or electrolytes, snacks for breaks, and at least 1.5 litres of water.

Please arrive at Kionia Picnic area by 17:15 as the hike starts promptly at 17:30. This summer trail promises breathtaking forest views and an unforgettable outdoor experience in one of Cyprus's most beautiful natural areas.
