Echo Wants Her Voice Back. Jazz Concert

The Echo Wants Her Voice Back project will return to Sarah’s Jazz Club for an intimate duo concert with jazz guitarist and composer Alexis Kasinos.

The program features reimagined classical pieces, blues-infused covers, and original folk-noir songs about fate, longing, and emotionally overcoming life’s trials.

Echo Wants Her Voice Back is a folk-noir music project by Eleni Skarpari, a singer, songwriter, actress, and writer born in Cyprus and based in London. Her work weaves together blues-rock, acoustic storytelling, and literary motifs. Echo’s songs balance between confession and myth, intimacy and drama, creating a dark, romantic, and cinematic atmosphere.

Thanks to her unique voice and striking stage presence, Eleni has been compared to artists such as Kate Bush, PJ Harvey, Björk, and Lorde. She has performed at SXSW, collaborated with BBC Radio, and represented Cyprus at a Commonwealth Day reception at Marlborough House in London.

Her work includes the EPs Heart of Stone and Bad, the track “Mermaids” (featured on BBC Introducing), the soundtrack Your Reality, and her recent single “Crimson Sun.”

Alexis Kasinos is a jazz guitarist and composer who lives and works in Cyprus. He received his musical education at the Codarts Conservatory and the Amsterdam Conservatory, studying under leading contemporary jazz musicians.

The musician has performed in a wide variety of ensembles—from trios to big bands—and has participated in festivals such as the Windcraft Festival, Paradise Jazz Festival, Jazz & World Music Showcase, and Fengaros Festival. His second album as a bandleader, Parallel Paths, showcases his development as a composer and improviser within the contemporary jazz tradition.
