Temporary Forever: Group Art Exhibition at Almyra Hotel, Paphos

Isnotgallery Contemporary and Almyra Hotel present Temporary Forever, a group art exhibition in Paphos, Cyprus, opening on Saturday 25 July 2026 at 20:30 and running through 6 September 2026. The exhibition takes the rhythms of summer as its starting point — a season that returns each year feeling both identical and entirely new — as a lens through which to examine the relationship between the transient and the lasting in art.

A work of art is made in a specific moment, for specific reasons, yet it aspires to outlast all of them: to remain, to remember, to mean something beyond the instant of its creation. The temporary, then, is not the opposite of the permanent — it may be the only means we have of affirming it.

The exhibition draws on Robert Smithson's 1966 idea of monuments built not for the ages but against them: works that make peace with their own decay in advance, that refuse to pretend at eternity, and for that very reason manage to say something true about time.
