Always Laughing and Deceived: Thanos Mikroutsikos Tribute in Nicosia & Larnaca

This major concert tribute to composer Thanos Mikroutsikos comes to Cyprus in October 2026, with two performances — on Tuesday, 6 October at the Lakatamia Municipal Amphitheatre in Nicosia, and on Friday, 9 October at the Pattichio Municipal Amphitheatre in Larnaca. Both shows start at 20:00 and are among the most anticipated musical events of the autumn season in Cyprus.

Performing on the night are four of the most beloved voices of the Greek music scene: Rita Antonopoulou, Giannis Kotsiras, Dimitris Basis, and Tania Tsanakliadou. Conducting is Thymios Papadopoulos, Thanos Mikroutsikos' closest musical collaborator and lifelong artistic partner — the very person the composer called his alter ego whenever they shared the stage.

The concert celebrates the songs that have defined generations: beloved melodies that audiences have danced to, dreamed alongside, and carried with them through the years. The programme spans Mikroutsikos' most cherished compositions — songs full of joy, longing, and the promise that better days will come. The show runs over 2 hours and is performed in Greek.
